Marvel has announced a line-wide event that will involve an epic battle between the Avengers and the X-Men. Apparently, the conflict will center around the return of the Phoenix Force (which we’ll learn more about later this afternoon). You can read the whole article here. This had better be damn good, considering they’ve spent 2011 consolidating all the titles into X-Books or Avengers Books. 

You could definitely see the seeds planted in Avengers Academy #22. 

The most exciting thing about this for me is that two Marvel Women will be at the center of this storyline: Hope Summers and the Scarlet Witch. Considering the nature of Hope’s story and Wanda’s House of M debacle, this was definitely bound to happen sooner or later. 

Here’s hoping this is going to be a great event! (And that it won’t be too hard on my wallet).
